2024 Youth Leader's Summit
As we begin this year, we thank the Lord for His blessings. We are grateful for the Holy Spirit's continuous presence among our youth, and we anticipate further blessings. Thank you for consistently supporting all the youth activities with our district.
We are especially thankful to God for the success of the 2024 Youth Leaders' Summit held in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas on February 24th. The theme of the Summit focused on equiping Youth Leaders and workers with the necessary tools to be effective in their leadership roles within the district.
The summit commenced at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 24th, with a gathering of over 40 attendees representing 10 different branch churches. The event began with a prayer followed by a brief exhortation delivered by Pastor Nathaniel Segres from AFC Atlanta. Brother Tayo Ajayi from AFC Washington DC facilitated the teaching sessions on "Toolbox Fundamentals" and led the workshops titled "Facing Your Challenges" and "Building Your Toolbox." Additionally, attendees received valuable insights during a brief Information Session about the upcoming 2024 International Youth Conference scheduled to take place in Richmond, VA, from June 6th to June 9th. To wrap up the summit, Pastor Josephine McElveen, District Superintendent, delivered closing remarks and led a closing prayer.
